The biff is back.
After two embarrassing losses in Origin 2009 this year, the Blues fought back in an explosive third game. The 28-16 victory allowed the Blues to save some face after four straight Origin series defeats.
Sure, they'd already lost the series but the New South Wales boys showed they still have a formidable passion and fire for Origin.
Everything we've grown up to love about Origin - the gritty play, the drama, and of course the biff - was on show.
Tensions exploded throughout the game but peaked at a brawl between Brett White and Steve Price.
White's right cross to Price's jaw brought the Maroons veteran to the ground.
The crowd fired up and so did players from both sides as a scuffle ensued.
Queensland may have won the series, but Origin was the winner on the night.

I love it that they leave the first two blokes to sort it out & the third man in gets sent off!! So used to soft AFL, just gotta love league.

I have to say that it really was lovely and quite a breath of fresh air to see NSW celebrating quite joyously their fourth series loss. I don't think I have ever seen a team so excited in defeat, it really was refreshing to see and nice to know that NSW can show what it is like to lose with dignity and show such pride in being losers!!!

Loved it!! One of the best Origins in history! Bout time we saw some real passion back in Origin footy! It's a mans game. It's a full contact sport and in a game like that passions will inevitably run high. If you don't like it, simply don't watch it.. But keep your comments to yourself. Try croquet or lawn bowls instead.

waterhouse came in and tried to break up the fight....lmao!
im a QLD supporter... but waterhouse didn't warrant a send-off... more like he was doing it for his safety than anything else
