Mark "MG" Geyer has said his biggest regret was not throwing a punch at Wally Lewis in that epic 1991 State of Origin biff.

"It's embarrassing to be honest, 21 years after the event, that I didn't even throw a punch at the The King," he told Triple M Brisbane.

Wally Lewis told the Grillers all he was trying to do was to get MG to snap again so he got sent off.

"I tried to find out how he did it. How you can get five cautions in a game of football, three times be told by the ref if you do it again you're off and still he stayed on the field," Wally told The Grill Team.

After the initial scuffle close to half time, Lewis said MG was "going off his head" in the tunnel.

Seeing that was enough for Wally Lewis to fire up his Maroon teammates.

"Boys we just got to try and get him one more time...and he'll get sent off," Lewis recollected.

That Origin was to be he MG's last with Lewis playing his last Origin game shortly after.

1991. Surely the greatest first half in Origin history. Mark Geyer. Wally Lewis. Need we say anymore...

Watch and tell us is this the greatest Origin biff ever?
