Ray 'Rabs' Warren has told Triple M Sydney's The Rush Hour that good solid rugby league hits need to avoid the head of the tackled player.

"I believe whether it be accidental, reckless or careless, we have to be seen to protect the head, spine or neck,” said Rabs. "If it [tackle] goes wrong, I’m sorry ...you gotta pay the price for the accident", Rabs said.

This comes as the NRL match review committee failed to charge Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei over a tackle he made against the Eels on Monday night, which was similar to the hit that saw Bulldogs forward Frank Pritchard suspended for one week.

Vatuvei is free to play the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Bulldogs captain Michael Ennis has told our Triple M that he wants to see a review of the NRL judiciary system.

Give us your two cents.
