Parramatta Eels coach Stephen Kearney has addressed the rumours he has two weeks to prove himself and the club is undergoing a coaching review.

On a positive note for Kearney, his side managed to defeat the Cronulla Sharks 29-20 on Monday night with Jarryd Hayne scoring a double and setting up two other tries.

Speaking on Triple M’s Monday Night Football coverage, Kearney said he hasn't let the speculation on his own future change how he goes about coaching the side and says he is not aware of any coaching review.

"For me, the speculation and innuendo over the last probably 10 weeks – the amount of it – if I worried myself about it at all then I wouldn't be doing my job," he told Triple M.

"My focus is just making sure I prepare the lads the best I can every week and that’s not going to change."

And on how he deals with the constant reporting on his role at the club, Kearney said he chooses to ignore it all.

"You don't read it. I jump in my bubble. I'm not focused about what's on the outside, I just worry about what’s on the inside and what I've got control over and I just go from there."

There have been assurances from the Eels board that they will stick by Kearney's five-year-plan for the struggling club, but since he took over the club in 2011 the Eels have won just eight from 35 games.
