Former Wallaby Matt Burke says Robbie Dean's Australian forward pack is the key to overcoming Six Nations champs Wales in Brisbane.

The Ruck host is also pleased to see a much stronger line-up than lost to Scotland in Newcastle.

"A big front row and a mobile backrow will give the Welsh some tough opposition. Ashley-Cooper at 15 will sure up the back and the centre pairing will add some ability to break the line," Burke told Triple M.

The Wallaby debutants continues with Brumbies Nic White completing "a strong bench" for the Wallabies.

The Welsh arrive down under with back-to-back losses against the Wallabies having lost in the 3/4th play off at the Rugby World Cup and in Cardiff in December.

However the last-but-one time the two teams met Quade Cooper injured his knee and has not since returned to international rugby.
