Eddie McGuire And James Brayshaw Rubbish Jeff Kennett's Merger Idea Post by: Triple M Footy 20 April, 2012 - 4:23 PM
Triple M's AFL honchos, James Brayshaw and Eddie McGuire, have rubbished former Hawthorn President Jeff Kennett's calls for North Melbourne and Melbourne to merge.
Kennett, who finished his tenure as Hawthorn’s President at the end of 2011, has also been labeled 'insulting' by Luke Darcy.
North President Brayshaw told Triple M’s The Rush Hour on Thursday afternoon in response to Kennett: "The fact that we are going better and better and better, on and off field, is good on a thousand fronts."
"But the best thing about it is the less and less we have to put up with this garbage. It is garbage. He (Kennett) knows it is."
McGuire told The Hot Breakfast on Friday morning 'economic rationalists should never come near football because it’s an emotional game'.
Kennett's merger suggestion was also dead-batted by AFL boss, Andrew Demetriou, and a tweet from North Melbourne player, Nathan Grima, suggested Kennett is a 'moron'.
What do you think? Any merit to Kennett’s suggestion or should he just shut up?

A picture (above) of JB photoshopped in a teddy bear suit was featured on page 70 of the Herald Sun today along side the quote from Paul de Rauch, "James Brayshaw is like a teddy bear you put on your bed - it doesn't do anything. It's just a decorative thing."
