Messages of love and support have been posted on social media by thousands of people around Australia for Channel Nine journalist, Peter Harvey, who is reportedly in a very bad way as he battles pancreatic cancer.
The Herald Sun reports Harvey is "believed to be gravely ill".
"Thank you to everyone for your amazingly kind messages to Dad. He is getting great care in hospital," daughter Claire Harvey tweeted on Tuesday night, with the hashtag #WeLoveHarves trending on Twitter across the country.
Harvey was diagnosed with cancer in October last year, when he said via a statement released by the TV station he was up for the fight.
"Pardon the pun, but you can't cop this one lying down," Harvey said back then.
"You have to get up and fight it. I have no intention of going anywhere yet."
Triple M staff join many across Australia wishing "Harves" and his family all the best.
