Listen To Bon Jovi's New Album
Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 5 November, 2009 - 7:06 AM
We have three tracks from Bon Jovi's new album The Circle - and here they are.
When We Were Beautiful
This is the song that will set the stadium alight when they come down under. Will give U2 a run for their money in the epic sing-a-long stakes.
Work For The Working Man
Song title says it all - a driving blue collar rocker with a bassline similar to that other little song they did called "Livin' On A Prayer".
Thorn In My Side
A rockin' little number and one of the most uptempo songs on the record.
On the eve of the release of Bon Jovi’s 11th studio album The Circle tomorrow, band members have opened up for the first time about just how close they came to breaking up at various points during their stellar 25 year career.
The worst of it wasn’t Richie Sambora’s fairly recent personal meltdown, but rather a group meltdown in the early 1990s.
“Aerosmith’s manager told us about this guy named Lou Cox,” Jon Bon Jovi has revealed in the new band documentary, When We Were Beautiful, which opens in a handful of cinemas across Australia today. “He had no ulterior motive, no commissions involved. He came in and got us to just speak better than anyone else could have.
“He was our saving grace and that was our big secret for years and years. Now Metallica made a movie [2004’s Some Kind Of Monster] like that already and the Goo Goo Dolls went to a guy we sent them to.”
“I looked at it and said,’F**king shrink, that’s for sick people’,” added keyboardist David Bryan. “But he was just trying to get everyone to communicate and that’s what he did, and it really helped us to be honest enough to go on.”
“He helped us a lot as a group, to be able to deal with each other,” agreed drummer Tico Torres. “It was almost over.”
Well, all’s good now, so prepare for an intense international media blitz from the Jov over the next few days as they start popping up everywhere in support of The Circle.
