UPDATE: Cold Chisel announced today that their first new studio album in 14 years will be launched at Bluesfest - where Cold Chisel are headlining on Thursday April 5 – ahead of its official release in stores on Friday April 6 through Warner Music.
The Bluesfest music festival has made it's first artist announcement for the 2012 Festival.
Cold Chisel will headline the event, while some of the other big hitters on board include, The John Butler Trio, The Pogues and heavy guitar supergroup G3 featuring Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Steve Lukather.
This will be the first time that an Australian artist has ever headlined this iconic musical event.
The 23rd Bluesfest will take place between Thursday, April 5 and Monday April 9 at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm just outside of Byron Bay.
