As you know Molly Meldrum is in hospital after taking a tumble at home in Richmond, Melbourne. We were lucky enough to speak to his manager Mark Klemens for an update on Molly's current state.
"He got through the night ok. He's still in a critical condition but the positive slant to this is that there hasn't been a negative impact during the evening," Mark told Triple M this morning.
The 65-year-old music guru had surgery last night to relieve pressure on his brain and he has suspected broken ribs and a punctured lung.
"I suspect for the next 24 hours there will be little change and that's what the doctors are telling us," he continued.
Mark said the general mood is critical but family and friends, who have been gathering in Melbourne, are optimistic for his recovery.
"It's pretty tough to keep Molly down I can tell you. He'll be up there fighting as soon as he can be."

One of his good mates is Triple M Melbourne's Lee Simon. As you can see in the above photo, Lee has known Molly for many years. He was stunned to hear the news last night that he was extremely unwell.
"Hopefully he's recovering well from his operation last night. He's in the best possible hands at The Alfred hospital, which is world renowned as one of the best trauma hospitals," Lee told Triple M this morning.
"We've all grown up with Molly, or tried to grow up with Molly, and we've known him for years and years, whether it's personally or via the many ways we've seen Molly whether it's Hey Hey... or Countdown."
Lee had some information as to what actually happened. He didn't fall off a ladder as previously reported.
"Molly every year hosts a Christmas party. He is one of the most generous people I know and he went to an enormous amount of effort to make sure everything looked right.
"He lives on a pretty compact block in Richmond. [There are] a lot of outbuildings in the backyard and structures on top of those including a spa, no surprise there." he grinned.
"Molly had apparently clambered up to the top of one of those levels to hang some decorations. And from what we hear it appears he either fell going up the stairs or down the stairs.
"He's a tough bugger, a good country boy, he's as fit as a fiddle and hopefully before too long we'll be sitting around making jokes about this."
Leave your well wishes here.
