Foo Fighters New “Wheels” Clip Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 2 October, 2009 - 7:15 AM
The Fooies have previewed the clip to their brand new song “Wheels” on MTV in the US overnight.
The video, which basically has the band performing in what appears to be a rehearsal studio, was filmed by Sam Brown, who also directed the clip to “The Pretender”.
Dave Grohl and the boys have been copping a bit of flack over both the new song and the clip at home in the States, with some critics saying it doesn’t look like the band are trying very hard.
Some are describing the song as adult contemporary, sounding like something an Amercian Idol contestant might release as a single. They’ve also already written off this clip as boring as batshit, in not so many words.
But I reckon those people don’t know what the f**k they’re talking about. What do you reckon?
Of course, “Wheels” is one of two new tracks which will feature on Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits, out October 30.
What do you think of the “Wheels” clip?

What's wrong with this video? It might not be as elaborate as some of their older stuff but it's kinda cool seeing the band going back to basics.

Ithink this is a great new song and as for the clip, did everyone forget about the clip to 'times like these'?
Bands like 3 Doors Down and Kings Of Leon have done clips like these with great success. Critics can shove it

I heard the song last week and just saw the video this morning and I Love the simplistic approach taken in the Video.
Tell the critics to blow it out the proverbial. It's similar to "Times like These" and "Long Road to Ruin".

Dave Grohl writes and performs because he loves to not because he has to!
Do you think that for one minute that the boys would ever consider writing and releasing shit! I think not !!! Go the Foo's.

I thought the song was awesome, heard it on the way to work, looked it up today and found out it was the Foo's. Thought it was even better!
Good on the guys for doing something a little more relaxed from the norm. Just show they are talented and are not afraid to slow down a little.
I'll definitely be buying the greatest hits album. That's right people, you heard me...'BUYING' not downloading.

Why do we care what some critic thinks of a video, isn't it supposed to be about making music?
