Foo Fighters Rock Sydney Harbour! Post by: Higgo & Alexis 24 March, 2011 - 9:21 PM
No one rocks a room harder than the Foo Fighters. Turns out no one rocks a harbour harder either!
The Foos worked their way through their new album Wasting Light track by track to a crowd of screaming Triple M listeners in Sydney Harbour on 24th March 2011.
Once the new material was unleashed, it was time to turn to classics like "Long Road To Ruin" and "Everlong".
Triple M's Higgo said "this is INSANE! BEST CONCERT EVER! This gig shows they play because they just love to play. It was a gig that they were so happy to do; they loved the surroundings, the crowd were right into it. When they come to town, do whatever you have to do to see them play."
"The BEST gig ever, soooo intimate, the Foos so pumped about their new record and so they should, it ROCKS!!! All 5 guys with big smiles, happy to be in Sydney. Dave Grohl asked to take this backdrop around with them on tour!" said Triple M's Alexis.
The Foo Fighters worked their way through a mighty 38 track set list as the sun set on the harbour.

Not to mention For All The Cows, See You, I'll Stick Around and Aurora. Which you didn't. Try 38-song setlist.

That set list you've got listed above was what they had printed on stage but man - anyone who was there will tell you that between their last two songs they played 10 extra tracks! Playing "F*cking loose like the band we are but never get to be" said Dave to the crowd and man it was unbelieveable!!!! Best GIG EVER - MMM ROCKS!!!!!!!

I was at the auckland show, pretty much the same setlist, with 1 or 2 moved around, and the did 4 encores in stead of 5.

So wish I was there. What an awesome setlist. 3 hours of Foo Fighters? That sounds like Foo Heaven to me!! Have only seen them play Hey Johnny Park live once and that was at the There Is Nothing Left To Lose tour back in 2000. Hope it's part of the setlist for the upcoming tour! Also for those who went, was Everlong played they way it should be or acoustic? :-)

I was there, it was awesome and I'm still grinning today.

And yeah, that might be the official setlist, but you are missing about 8 songs in the encore. I'm half dead today but it was so worth it. Had to come into work, but my boss is a huge Foo's fan so forgiving me not moving my neck and being half-asleep.
...I'm just hoping the cameras missed me doing my cow impersonation during, "For all the Cows". -
