Killers, Wolfmother Join Forces Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 11 September, 2009 - 7:29 AM

It was a huge finale to The Killers and Wolfmother’s joint North American tour this week when the two bands took to the stage together for their last show in Canada.

Although the two bands have only played six shows together over the last couple of weeks, they obviously built up a strong camaraderie, as you can see in the video above.

At the end of the show, Brandon Flowers invited Andrew Stockdale and other members of Wolfmother [whatever their names are!] on stage for a loud and rousing rendition of the classic “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”.

The gig was the last show for The Killers after almost two straight years of international touring [they’re now apparently set to take a very long break], while it’s just the start of things for Wolfmother.

Wolfmother come back home to Australia next week for a short national tour, and have just announced they will be back in the US for their own headlining tour across the country starting late-October.

Between then and now, they’ve also got a bunch of shows in Europe. Somehow, singer Andrew Stockdale has also managed to find the time to collaborate with Beck on a bunch of Leonard Cohen covers which can be heard at beck.com.

What do you think of The Killers and Wolfmother as a combo?
