Michael Jackson's Unreleased Song Post by: Triple M Music 17 July, 2009 - 12:36 PM
An unreleased song recorded by the late Michael Jackson has been leaked online.
A Place With No Name is a reworking of the hit by soft-rockers America called A Horse With No Name.
TMZ reports has stated that America's manager Jim Morey granted the King Of Pop Jackson permission to use the song.
Funnily enough, Morey was also Jackson's manager in the late 80's and early 90's.
What do you think of the song?

What a wicked song? I wonder how it would've gone if it was ever released?

Hello,
This song is obviously a re-worded version of "a horse with no name" originally by the band " America. It even has similar lyrics in chorus, Far from an original composition.
I am a musician, and actually played it with the original lyrics by "America" and there was NO difference.
As a musician, this is one of the pet hates that I have about some new song, that is really a rip off of well selling old established song by someone else.
Just a money making rip off.
I am surprised that some one like Jacko would do this, considering the options he had available to him.

I loved the unreleased song. It was truely inspirational and it would have gone a long way if Michael had lived.
But as we all know he will always have a special place in our heart.
We love you Michael.

Of course the song was fantastic, the man was a genius and anything he sang was gold!
I don't think we will ever again see a talent like his.
RIP Michael, we love you xxx

This is garbage please don't play it on air. Being dead is no excuse for releasing crap.

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...THAT'S THE LYRICS OF THE SONG A HORSE WITH NO NAME BY AMERICA... ANYWAYS THOSE LYRICS WERE REALLY LONG..

I love the song! Wish I could hear the whole thing. A Horse with No Name, was one of my favorites and it is my understanding that Jim Morey not only allowed MJ to use part of his song, but was honored that he would want to.
