All this year the Foo Fighters have been slogging it out in the studio working on their seventh album.

Well, it looks like the album is nearly finished judging by the latest photos the band put up on their official Foo Fighters twitter, which sees them putting the finishing touches on their new effort.

The above photo shows Dave Grohl putting what they call the "last vocal on the record!", while a photo shoot with famed rock photographer Danny Clinch looks like it may be for the new CD!

The Fooies have been hard at work with producers Butch Vig and Alan Moulder working on what Dave Grohl's described as their "heaviest album".

A chart showing the band's progress reveals the completion of the album isn't far off now.

There's still no album title, but it looks like 13 songs are in the can with 10 of those tracks having been stamped with the word "DONE". Song-titles include "Miss The Misery", "Dear Rosemary" and "These Days".

On the touring front, the Fooies have announced a series of shows in Europe next year, and the last we heard they are likely to be here in late 2011 or early 2012.

Bring it on, we say!
