Nickelback Covers Kings Of Leon Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 12 October, 2009 - 7:31 AM
Footage has surfaced of Nickelback covering Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody” in concert.
Do not adjust your internet machine – this is reality. And we’ve got the above clip to prove it.
The video comes from a show in Canada earlier this year, but apparently the song has been a regular feature of recent Nickelback shows.
The performance sees lead singer Chad Kroger take a break while guitarist Ryan Peake steps up to the mic.
One reviewer has described it sounding like the song is being played by a Poison cover band. What do you think?
Of course, Nickelback are here early next month for the start of their national Australian tour. Personally, I’m hoping they’ll tackle some of my favourite Wolfmother tracks.
What do you think? Should Nickelback be banned from covering KoL before they start their Australian tour?

I don't think it's Nickelback. Doesn't look like them.

At least boring, derivative bands are covering each other's tripe now - keep your hands off real music.

You want bad covers, do you? I don't think one bunch of nobodies covering another bunch of nobodies even comes close, oh no!
Go on youtube and check out Celine Dion, Shakira and Shania Twain covering AC/DC.
These are so awful it is painful - and the Shakira one starts promisingly enough too ...

I actually reckon it sounds pretty good!
They're obviously not trying to reinvent the song but just playing it.
The crowd seemed to love it as well:)

Nickleback's music all sounds the same anyway, only seems to reason that they would steal other peoples music, to break up the constant drone of their similar sounding music.
