Woo hoo! Big congratulations to The Living End who took out two ARIA awards last night for Best Rock Album and Most Popular Live Act.
They won Best Rock Album for their seventh studio record, The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating, the boys up against stiff competition including Children Collide, Eskimo Joe, Jebediah and Papa VS Pretty.
Triple M's Higgo was thrilled for the hard working rock band. "Bloody stoked for our Melbourne boys. How good are they?! Rock ain't dead baby!".
All three members - Chris Cheney, Scott Owen and Andy Strachan - were there to accept the award. Totally unprepared for their win they kept their speeches fast and furious, just like their music.
They thanked their manager, crew, record label and even Triple M before giving a big thumbs up to their fans, saying "without you we'd be screwed!".
In regards to scoring Most Popular Live Act, well, we couldn't agree more. We've seen The Living End many times and they definitely deserved this award.
Good on ya boys! Well deserved, the new album is an absolute killer!
What did you think of the ARIA Awards?
