Slash: Behind-The-Scenes Of New Album Post by: Eddie Ruckus & Dave-O 9 March, 2010 - 6:45 AM

Slash has finally revealed the details of his over-due (please don't let it be over-produced) solo album.

It will be called – drum-roll please – Slash! [utterly brilliant name] and will be out on April 6.

We scored this awesome clip of Slash taking us behind-the-scenes of his new album. He talks candidly about how it all went down and introduces us to a guest list longer than both of your arms!

The shot of Ozzy and Slash shooting the s**t, alongside Motorhead's Lemmy wailing on the bass is enough to get any rock fans mouth watering.

The record features a guest list of every muso who has visited Los Angeles in the past five years, including Dave Grohl, Flea, Iggy Pop, Chris Cornell, Fergie [you’ve got to really worry about Slash sometimes, don’t ya?!], Duff McKagan, Axl Rose [na – that one’s a joke], Kid Rock, Ozzy Osbourne [that one’s not a joke] and our very own Andrew Stockdale.

The British edition of the Slash CD will come with a 132-page collector’s edition of Classic Rock magazine covering Slash’s career.

Who’s looking forward to hearing the new Slash album?

Wicked! I can't wait to hear it.

Here's hoping it sounds more like his first solo album and less like his second one.

Can't wait for this album, Slash will always be 1 of the greats to me.

I'm also pretty sure that Nicole is a bit of a rock chick, I remember hearing something about her hanging around Days of the New!

I have a feeling that this album is going to.... SUCK MAJOR ARSE. And that sucks, because Slash is, well, Slash.

But I reckon it will be on the same level as the Gunners, aka Axl and Friends album and, despite moments of brilliance, will be shite.

Whatever happened to Wolfmother? Hello, they have a new album that was in the top 20 only a couple of months ago...

Anyway Slash rocks & it will be a cool album, I've seen some of the stuff on youtube...

I think it is going to be a disappointing album.

Slash is overrated. I'm not saying he isn't a good guitarist and all but he is definitely over rated.

Slash is awesome and I can understand most of the guests, but the chick from the Pussycat Dolls and Fergie? WHAT THE HELL!

Dave Grohl did a similar thing a few years called PROBOT. I don't expect you would know this, it may be a tad heavy for your ears, anyway it sounds like it will be a good album. i will be purchasing it .

    Hey Aaron,

I know the Probot album you're talking about. That's the album where Dave showed off his love of heavy metal by inviting a number of metal vocalists to play on his album.

Was it any good? I would have to say it's an album for punk/metal fans only.
