U2's First Night Set-List Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 1 July, 2009 - 7:46 AM

While you were struggling to get out of bed this morning, U2 kicked off its mammoth new U2360° world tour at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona in front of a crowd of just under 100,000 frenzied Spaniards.

There was virtually a live telecast of the show taking place across YouTube and Twitter as hundreds of fans posted dodgy live clips and pics as the concert was happening.

In the shadow of their massive 50-metre tall “Claw” stage set-up, U2 opened their 2 ½ hour set with four tracks from No Line On The Horizon – “Breathe”, “No Line On The Horizon”, “Get On Your Boots” and “Magnificent” – before bursting into a more familiar greatest hits-styled set with “Beautiful Day”.

Bono dedicated “Angel Of Harlem” to Michael Jackson, ad-libbing lyrics from MJ’s “Man In The Mirror” and “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough”. Other moments included a live link-up to the international space station and the band stuffing up "One" and having to start the song again.

We’ll bring more details of the show over coming days. But for now, here’s the set-list as performed on the opening night:
