Slash has released his first ever live solo CD/DVD and it's everything a live release should be.
Captured in Slash's birthplace of Stoke, England at Victoria Hall during his epic world tour, the DVD/CD titled Made In Stoke 24/7/11 captures the legendary guitarist in full-flight with the band blasting their way through a 21-song set of Slash solo stuff and Guns N' Roses classics.
As you can see by the footage above and below, supplied by Shock, the concert was played in a beautiful old theatre and is indicative of what a rock n' roll live album should be - it's raw, it's spontaneous and there's no fixes or overdubs.
The band - Myles Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz and Bobby Schneck - is the same one we saw in Australia. Slash told Triple M that this release really captures the band's essence.
"It's totally live, it's not all doctored or anything. It's very energetic and it's very in-the-moment," he said.
Slash even joked that there were a few stuff ups on there too. Not that we noticed! "There's plenty of f*** ups on this but they're good natured f*** ups."
