Pearl Jam Oz Tour Confirmed!!! Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 2 August, 2009 - 7:35 AM

Are you peaking yet? Yes, it’s all locked-in – Pearl Jam will land in Perth on November 14 for the start of their first Australian tour in three years. Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah!!!

At this stage, promoters are saying Pearl Jam will only be performing one outdoor stadium show in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, plus one each in Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand.

Tickets for all the concerts go on sale at 9AM, Monday 17 August. The tickets range in price from $99 to $123.90. Current active members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club will get exclusive access to a ticket pre-sale.

Pearl Jam will be supported at all shows by a couple of good mates, Ben Harper with his band Relentless7 and Liam Finn.

This is a real coup for Aussie Pearl Jam fans because the band has already indicated they won’t be touring at all next year, which means we’re only one of a handful of countries that will get to see them play live this time around.

Of course, Pearl Jam will be here to support the release of their new album, Backspacer, which many are predicting will be the biggest PJ album in years.

What else can we tell you except here are the dates.

PEARL JAM AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES:

Saturday, 14 November
Members Equity Stadium, Perth

Tuesday, 17 November
Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

Friday, 20 November
Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

Sunday, 22 November
Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney

Wednesday, 25 November
QSAC Stadium, Brisbane

Its on for one and all. Five shows at least in Oz, still think Melbourne will get two but its a wait and see game now.

Five shows in Oz, 2 in NZ, hopefully one in Hawaii, shall be at them all with bells on.

Booked flights to Perth this morning, the ball is rolling. God I love November!!! Bring it on.

You guys were close with your Dec announcement, but I was told by Ed, his Mrs Jill and Boom Gasper in Hawaii it would be Nov. All I need to do is work out some backstage passes, so any help from MMM would b greatly appeciated haha, may have few sources of my own, but time will tell of course. GA tickets for all shows.

Get your dusty mosh shoes on people and get amongst it for what could very well be the last time the GODS of seattle hit our beautiful shores. hope not, but possible.

Backspacer set to be one of the best albums in a long time, back to original unmistakeable PJ sound of the old days, but it will take a great effort to beat Pearl Jam Avocado album, that rocked as well as Ten and VS. They get better with age.

By the way, im not a stalker, only a mild one hehe.
triple MMM, make my PJ CARRER memorable, not via tickets, but let me help out in someway to pay back a band thta many times saved m y life after bad events in my existance, they are everyting to me, everything!!!! nothing, i mean nothing i would do to be put in a handshake with GOD HIM SELF. YOU CAN TEST ME ON THAT.

Now, what did i do with eds number?? He'll rember me and my friends as we were in a massive car accident after ed's maui show in june/july. this band is my reigion, Ed is god, the rest of te band are his diciples and they preach their muic and wisdom that soothes the soul, mskes thre bad stuff in your life disappear, and above all that, they've single handedly kept me going though tough times.

Damn Ryan settle down. I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan too but you are begining to take it to a Mark David Chapman level. I really think you should seek therapy for your obsession as it is unhealthy. Eddie is just a very talented man as are all the members of the band.

Anyway I'm looking forward to the tour, it's about time they returned..

I've been waiting for a good concert ever since I came to Oz to make it up for missing Radiohead and FNM in South America!!

By the way, any chance FNM is coming to Oz before February???
