Get 'It's A Long Way...' Into AC/DC's Show

Herald Sun’s Nui TeKoha told Eddie and The Hot Breakfast that the band doesn't perform the classic 'It's A Long Way To The Top' on their current 'Black Ice' tour. Brian Johnston says that it’s the one AC/DC song that Bon owns completely and he would never attempt to out-do the original.

Also by not performing it is also a way of paying respect to the memory and magic of Bon behind the microphone. It’s just a ripping song would be great to get the band to do it live at their Melbourne concerts.
Even if they bought in technology to help with footage of Bon doing the vocals on the big screen with the band playing along.
James Young, the man who helped drive the naming of AC/DC Lane, reckons it is a great idea.
Listen to how pumped Eddie is.

That's an awesome idea. Incorporate Bon on the big screen, the crow would go nuts if they did that.

If Brian doesn't want to do it out of respect for Bon then I think we shoul respect his wishes and just let it go. He does a bunch of other Bon songs with no problem. Just leave it alone.

Although I feel it is AC/DC's greatest song I respect Brian for choosing to not sing it out of respect for Bon. I'd be happy enough for them just to play the original track through the speakers. That would be awesome enough.

great idea as long as it makes it a 20 song set list instead of 19 because i don't wan't any current songs dropped!

They should do Its a long way to the top to honour Bon Scott. They are only a few hundred metres from where they originally shot the video and it would be a good thing to do.

It's a nice thought but it won't happen. Back in November there was a petition to get AC/DC to change their setlist at all - not play a specific song. And that petition when completely ignored until the recent NZ shows. They added just one song - High Voltage. The won't play It's a Long Way to the Top because not only would it require changing the setlist twice within a month, but it's a song they've never performed with Brian. They have so many great songs but they only perform a small number of them live. Not just on this tour, on any tour. It's quite sad, really.
But like I said, it's a nice idea. Oh yeah, and they ROCK.

I think that Brian has the right to not sing the song if he does not think he can do it.

Get Bon up on the big screen singing the song and the rest of the boys playing along.
It would be awesome......
