Radio favourite Merrick Watts is joining Australia's biggest rock station, Triple M in 2012.

“I’m stoked to be doing drive at Triple M next year. Footy, rock and comedy is a trifecta of good times for me. Can’t wait to start,” Merrick said this week.

Merrick will bring his unique brand of blokey Aussie humour to the Triple M airwaves in Melbourne from 6-8pm weekdays, where he'll keep you laughing all the way home.

Merrick cut his comedy teeth on the standup circuit before kicking off a long career in radio, TV and the movies and now, Triple M.

Quite frankly, Merrick's a funny bugger who thinks fast on his feet. Here's one of our favourite bits from him on the telly (Thank God You're Here).
