A HUGE congratulations to Mieke who announced her engagement on air this morning!

She was forced to tell everyone the happy news after eagle-eyed Mick Molloy said "what's the ring on your finger? It's the type of thing that would be stolen at the start of a Pink Panther film."

Her partner popped the question during their trip to Cambodia last week and even though she'd been wearing the massive rock all week, Mick was the only one to notice!

When Mieke Buchan made the surprise announcement on the breakfast show this morning, women from around the office came flocking to the studio to give her hugs and to see the ring.

Mick was amazed by this reaction, saying "can someone explain what just happened? It was like seagulls squabbling over a chip. Women came from everywhere!"

For ring fans, here's the vital stats you need to know: it's a two carat champagne diamond with another carat added in for good measure.
