Violence Is Not An Option Post by: Hot Breakfast 15 January, 2010 - 3:38 PM

Times have changed. Our streets aren't as safe as they used to be. We aren't just talking about Indian students and taxi drivers, but every Melburnian who is out after dark.

We want to know what you think about violence in Melbourne...what can we do to reduce the amount of violent crime in Melbourne?

Drop Eddie a line. Tell him how violence has affected your life. Give him your ideas on what needs to be done. This is our town. Our homes. This is your chance to be part of the solution.

Have you been attacked or threatened on the streets of Melbourne? Tell us your story.

Too many drinking people and angry with the world. We all need to like each other like brothers.

There has always been trouble on the streets but back in my day it was just grog. These days there so many recreational drugs and what about red bulls. There's a fight waiting to happen in every can.

Ban knives, I would never give any one lip or stand up for someone getting picked on for the fear of being stabbed.
