Thank you so much for all of your suggestions to where I should set up house in Melbourne. I have now found somewhere to live and I am loving everything that the Bayside suburbs have to offer.
Although I am still getting to know Melbourne, I still need to know where all the great parks, places to visit, places to drink and eat are around town.
Hear Mieke out and about checking the sights of Broadmeadows.

I suggest Donny... Doncatser is a great place to live, it's close to town on the Eastern, but not right in it. We're a short drive to the Yarra Valley and have the newly souped up Westfield Shoppingtown.

Mieke you should try Yarraville, the village in the west. We've got everything you need here. It's laid back, cool but not wanky and is pretty close to town.

Mieke, you should live in South Yarra or Armadale. You'll always have lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and wine bars just a short walk away. And, you'll be just quick drive or tram ride over to the beach in summer, and you'll be just around the corner for that early morning radio shift. I used to live around there and had a ball - that was before husband & kids.

Sydenham, Mieke! Or Caroline Springs, a.k.a. "the Toorak of the West"! The outer western suburbs are a fabulous place to live in!

Mieke look no further than Middle Park/St.kilda. Thats where i grew up and wish i never left. Best beachs for you runs, or straight around the lake for you morning run to work, great cafes and all that stuff, grat to have you in Melb Bryce, ps great first show guys well done

Corio is one of the nicest and safest suburbs in victoria, and so cheap to buy there aswell!
