Fremantle forward Chris Mayne has joined Collingwood as an unrestrcited free agent on Wednesday.
Mayne leaves the Dockers after nine years and 172 matches. He kicked 196 goals in that period.
The 27-year-old also played 11 finals for Fremantle, including the 2013 losing grand final.
The Dockers receive pick No.23 as compensation.
Once rated as one of the best shots for goal in the AFL, his accuracy in front of the big sticks in the last three seasons has been 56.7 percent.
He was originally selected by Fremantle with pick No.40 in the 2007 AFL Draft.
The Magpies have already welcomed former North Melbourne veteran Daniel Wells to the club as a free agent this week.
Collingwood are also reportedly keen on recruiting Brisbane Lions captain Tom Rockliff and Will Hoskin-Elliott from Greater Western Sydney.
