You Can Now Buy Shoes Made Out Of REAL SHERRINS
A Melbourne company has made some runners out of actual Sherrin footys!
The project is a collaboration between Sneaker Freaker magazine and BespokeIND, a custom footwear workshop also based in Melbourne.
“I’ve dreamed of making these ‘Sherrin’ sneakers for several years, but no one in Melbourne had the expertise to pull them off until BespokeIND opened their doors,” Simon ‘Woody’ Wood - Founder and Editor of Sneaker Freaker - said.
Each pair takes over 40 hours to complete, which means the shoes do not come cheap - ($3000 per pair to be exact!)
There are two designs - the traditional red pair using the ‘daytime’ Sherrin and a yellow night time edition.
Each individual shoe utilises all four panels of a Sherrin game ball.
