Adelaide Crows legend Andrew Jarman says Kurt Tippett will not be traded to the Sydney Swans as the 'foundations at the Adelaide Crows slowly burn to the ground'.

Jarman, speaking to Triple M Adelaide on Friday morning, also said Crows CEO Steven Trigg will need to be looking for a new job soon for his involvement in the 2009 deal to re-sign Kurt Tippet.

Former Crows Operations Manager John Reid and Trigg are believed to have been instrumental in lodging the official contract with the AFL in 2009, and also for agreeing to another deal which reportedly had a draft clause and offer of extra cash (around $200,000) that was never presented to the league.

"Heads will roll down at the Adelaide Crows .. I also believe other clubs will be investigated over the past five or 10 years. This has opened up a can of worms," said Jarman.

"Crows Chairman Robbie Chapman is filthy he has been kept in the dark and it was only last week when Steven Trigg finally showed him this letter. I have no doubt Steven Trigg is going to cop it in the neck."

Fellow Triple M commentator, Warren Tredrea, says the Tippett saga is 'he biggest story since Carlton got caught rorting the salary cap'.

Tredrea says the AFL has 'sent a heap of forensic investigators to Adelaide' who will be going through filing cabinets, interviewing players administrators and Tippett's manager, Peter Blucher.

"(The saga) will disrupt the (Adelaide) football club for the next 10 years," says Tredrea.

The Crows are expected to be penalised heavily for potential draft tampering and salary cap cheating, while Tippett himself could also face sanctions.
