Malcolm Blight has given the AFL Players' Association's MVP Award a big whack.

Malcolm Blight has given the AFL Players' Association's MVP Award a big whack.

"I think it's the most over-rated award in the whole of the system," Blight told Triple M in relation to the AFL Players' Association MVP Award.

The Triple M Footy guys had a chat about it on The Rub on Friday night and want to know from you if you agree with Blight.

The MVP Award was won by Gold Coast Sun Gary Ablett earlier this week for a record fourth time.

Gold Coast Suns captain Gary Ablett has been voted the AFL's best player by his peers and won the Leigh Matthew Trophy for a fourth time.

Jobe Watson was voted Best Captain while Joel Selwood and Beau Waters tied for Most Courageous.

The Best First Year Player Award was taken out by GWS Giant Jeremy Cameron.
