Fremantle's win over Geelong has ended the Cats' premiership defence and will more than likely be the last AFL game Matthew Scarlett will ever play.

Cats Footy Manager, Neil Balme, offered some great insight into how the club views its exit from the finals and what it now plans to do ahead of the 2013 season.

But, there will be no Mad Monday for the Cats!

Balme also paid tribute to Scarlett like only he can, and probably in a way that 'Scarlo' would respect - without fuss.
