The Round 8 Hard Yakka player of the week award goes to Hawks strong man Campbell Brown.

With the Hawks’ season on the line in the last quarter, Brown - playing his 150th game – transformed himself into a human battering ram.

Firstly, the son of a gun threw himself at Jack Riewoldt who grabbed his shoulder in agony after Brown catapulted him into the air.

Then late in the game, with less than a goal in it, Brown and the Tigers’ Daniel Jackson faced off for a loose ball.

Both charged at the pill full pelt and the clash was bone-crunching with Jackson going off the ground.

Brown followed Jackson to the bench and let him know in no uncertain terms who he thought won the crucial duel.

Jackson retaliated and subsequently got three weeks for head-butting Brown.
