Greg Bird will learn his fate in the next 48 hours, with the NRL Integrity Unit and Titans bosses to reach a verdict on his recent off-field drama.

The incident in question is alleged to have occurred after Bird and his group were refused entry for teammate Anthony Don's bucks party.

The Integity Unit has completed its investigation, and Titans CEO Graham Annesley is expected to meet with chair Rebecca Frizelle when she returns from overseas on Monday.

Bird has spent the last seven years of his career on the Gold Coast, and has expressed his interest in remaining at the club given the recent finals push and recruitment successes.

However, if the Titans decide to terminate his contract, the Knights are reportedly eager to pounce on Bird in their quest to add some experience to their side.

The Titans board will notify Bird if he has a case to answer , with a formal hearing to then on the cards within five days.

Out of this debacle, the result with either be Bird having no case to answer, a potential fine, suspension, or contract termination, reports David Riccio for the Daily Telegraph.
