Titans On The Hunt To Bolster 2017 Squad

According to, the Titans are in a position to recruit three more players for their 2017 roster, but the club insists it doesn't have the funds under the cap to land another marquee signing.

With the club losing Luke Douglas to St Helens, there has been little movement in the Titans' recruitment ranks.

So far, the only new faces are Jarrod Wallace (Broncos) and Dan Sarginson (Wigan), and Titans COO Tony Mestrov has confirmed that the club has bowed out of the race for Paul Vaughan and Kevin Proctor.

Given the Titans' success at recruiting mid-season with the likes of Jarryd Hayne, Nathan Peats and Konrad Hurrell making the switch, going into 2017 with some spare cash on hand may prove to be a blessing in disguise.

"Every club at the moment is having a look to see who they've got and who they might be able to buy and we're definitely looking to fill probably three spots on our roster," Mestrov said to

"Mainly forwards that you would hope come through and play quite a number of games of first grade, they're the type of players we're looking at at the moment.

"We're in a different situation to last year where we had room in the cap and money to spend. I'm not sure if we're going to have that luxury this year."
