Manly Fans Speak Out On Why They Won't Travel
The Grill Team called upon Manly fans this morning after news came only 1100 tickets have been sold to Sea Eagles fans ahead of their game with the Cowboys at Allianz Stadium.
Gus Worland said he was at a loss to explain why Manly fans who normally "pack out Brooky" wouldn't travel to Allianz Stadium 22km away from their home ground for the sudden death game.
Matty Johns suspected perhaps "it's too convenient just to stay at home" with Mark Geyer saying the NRL should have a plan B when it comes to ground allocation.
Passionate Manly supporter Adrian from Baulkham Hills called in to say he wasn't going with his young family as there "isn't good public transport" despite going last year.
"We left my place at 4.35pm. I got home after one in the morning, and that was just going to the game and coming back. That wasn't going to a few pubs on the way," Adrian added.
'Crebbo' called in saying he thinks Manly fans don't travel because they're "dirty".
"I think they're dirty because when we get home semis we miss out because they ground isn't good enough," Triple M caller Crebbo added.
"If you've got 15,000 people at Brooky, for TV, the atmosphere's going to look unreal. Then you look at 15,000 at the footy stadium and it looks like no one is there."
