Wallabies captain David Pocock says it's not about revenge when it comes to taking on the All Blacks in Sydney's Bledisloe Cup game.

"As a group we've really just got to focus on this game and not think too much about the past," referring to the Kiwis knocking the Wallabies out of last year's Rugby World Cup.

Pocock in his first leadership test against our Trans-Tasman rivals says the game is a "huge challange."

"The important thing is to start well and to come away with points every time we get down their end of the field," adding "it's hard to beat them from behind."

Despite the Kiwis hitting verbal vollies on arrival into Sydney, Pocock says he is not put off by the Kiwis and is looking forward to the haka.

"It's not something you should get intimidated by, if anything it fires you up. It's one of the great things about playing the All Blacks."
