Matty Johns says Sonny Bill Williams is making himself look silly trying to please everyone as news comes he apparently regrets his handshake deal with the NRL.

"You know when I came here three years ago I didn't even know if I could play rugby," Sonny Bill said at an All Blacks press conference in New Zealand.

"I wish I could say now I would just stay, but three years ago, if I had the chance I would have been back in league straight away. But I came back here and things worked out the way they did," Sonny Bill told the media.

Roosters number one fan and Grill Team co-host Gus Worland said that was "not good enough."

"We had a handshake deal with him in good faith and now he is crying wolf and going 'you know what, I want to stay in rugby'," Gus stated.

However Mark Geyer was not so surprised, saying Sonny Bill "has form on this" and questioned why the Roosters "didn't see this coming?"

Williams could leave rugby union with a clean sweep of trophies; the Rugby World Cup, the 2012 Super Rugby title, and the Bledisloe Cup if the All Blacks defeat the Wallabies at Eden Park on Saturday.

There will be no fanfare or ticker tape parade though as Sonny Bill will be on his way to the Japanese town of Ota to start his $1 million contract with rugby union club Panasonic Wild Knights.
