The Wallabies have named their team to face the Argentinians in an historic Test on the Gold Coast.

Nathan Sharpe will step up to the captaincy as Will Genia is injured and Kurtley Beale is dropped to the bench for the first Test match to be played at Skilled Park.

The last time the two teams played each other, the Wallabies beat the Pumas 24-8 in the group stages of the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Sydney.

Argentina was inducted into full international Tests in 1979, with the two countries having met on 17 occasions with the Wallabies winning 12 games.

The last win for Argentina on Australian soil was in Queensland with a shock 18-3 win at Ballymore in 1983.
