The Living End played a rare, intimate pub gig last night and we sent Triple M Sydney’s Becko along.

Here’s what he thought:

The Living End returned to rocking the pubs at the iconic Lansdowne Hotel, Sydney last night.

It was our first taste of some of the new stuff, including “Don’t Lose it”, “Drop the Needle” (previously played at A Day On The Green), “Wake up the Vampires” and “Proton Pill” which they hilariously had to rehearse as they forgot how the song started!

The set was short and sweet but it definitely had energy, taking us back to where it all began for these Aussie rock legends.

It was just an absolute honour to have the band kick off their single launch in Sydney in front of the most keen of fans – only 200 of them!

Next stop is Melbourne Wednesday 20th June, then the world!
Tonight’s gig is SOLD OUT, with Triple M Club members scoring the last few tickets.

Well done to these local legends, whose punk rock formula has hit the right mark once again.

Let’s go back to talking to fearless leader Chris Cheney talking about new music:

Don’t Lose It is available Friday 22nd June.
