James Brayshaw will leave the Footy Show and be replaced as Rebecca Maddern’s co-host byCraig Hutchison, according to reports.

JB has hosted the show since 2006, initially with Garry Lyon and more recently with Maddern.

The move comes after his decision not to call cricket for Channel 9 this summer.

“We are delighted to welcome Craig to the co-hosting chair on The Footy Show," Channel Nine Melbourne Managing Director, Ian Paterson, said in a statement.

"He is a first-class media performer and businessman with a proven track record in breaking some of the biggest AFL stories in history. He will be a terrific addition to the program alongside Rebecca.

“We thank James Brayshaw for his contribution for the past 11 years to The Footy Show and the network. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”

James Brayshaw will return to Triple M Footy and the Rush Hour in 2017, and will head up Triple M's cricket call with Kerry O'Keefe.
