New album Viva La Vida released Saturday June 14

Viva "This album was fuelled by a desire to move from black and white into colour," says frontman Chris Martin about album #4 and the follow-up to 2005's X&Y.

Preceded by the luscious single 'Violet Hill', Viva La Vida' sees Coldplay pushing themselves into new territory. Produced by legend Brian Eno and Markus Dravs, their fourth album was largely recorded in their new studio The Bakery - literally a renovated old London bakery.

"I wanted this record to prove us worthy of the position we've been given," says Martin. "Whatever anyone makes of the record, when we play live, we're gonna be on fire."
