Smashing Pumpkins Want You

You might have heard: the once-almighty Smashing Pumpkins are looking for a new drummer – and it could be you!
If you’ve got a couple of drumsticks and don’t mind working behind an ego as big as a rock stadium, then this could be the gig you’ve been waiting for.
In his latest attempt to find a friend, Billy Corgan – the only Smashing Pumpkin left on Earth – is holding open auditions for a new drummer in Los Angeles on April 10. Gee, wonder if he’ll video tape it and turn it into a TV show?
Billy boy placed the job ad on the Pumpkins’ website yesterday. It read: “The Smashing Pumpkins are continuing to make music after the departure of original member Jimmy Chamberlin. When Jimmy originally auditioned for The Smashing Pumpkins, he was playing in a locally touring jazz band that was playing weddings and street fairs. It just goes to show that you never know where the next big talent will come from.
“The Smashing Pumpkins are taking submissions for recording and touring drummers. There may be multiple positions open for this call for entries.”
If you want to be in the running, send Billy your background info, photos [the kinkier the better – no, we just added that bit for dramatic effect] and performance web links via email to pumpkinsdrummer@gmail.com. Must be willing to help singer shave his head before each show.
