More than 200 people are working to get the massive stage ready for Saturday's concert.

The Rolling Stones have unveiled their MASSIVE stage at Adelaide Oval just days before they kick off their Australian tour.

Production manager Dale Skjerseth - who has been involved with the band since 1994 - says it takes a lot of work to get everything perfect.

"We’ll be up to around 200 (people) working today, tomorrow, up to the prep for the show and then of course the building will expand. Security ushers, and all the rest of the staff will come in," Dale said on Wednesday afternoon.

"It’s a well oiled machine but we all have to get the joints moving."

Dale says the crew won’t know the specifics of the set list until moments before the show starts.

"They’ve been rehearsing so many songs, we really don’t know what it’s going to be… Of course there will be the favourites and the things added in and stuff they haven’t done,"

"They look back at what they did before years ago when they played here. They think about it and it’s just gotten better every time they’ve gone out."

Promoter Tony Cochrane also confirmed that Jimmy Barnes will be healthy enough to support the Stones after the Cold Chisel singer underwent back surgery last month.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, bassist and partial nudist, Flea has announced a new Red Hot Chili Peppers album due out sometime in 2015.

The as yet unnamed new album will follow on from their 10th studio LP, 2011's I'm With You.

In the interview Flea said, "We are nearly finished writing. We’ll go in the studio sometime in the next couple of months."

He also described it as "super danceable, funky shit and some real introspective, pretty stuff. It feels good, man, and it’s fun to play it."

It's looking like they plan to be finished, with the album released and out touring by this time next year.

"Malcolm is suffering from dementia and the family thanks you for respecting their privacy," Malcolm's family told New York's People magazine.

While a statement on the band's official website read: "Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm's condition, he will not be returning to the band."

The news comes off the back of AC/DC announcing their brand new album Rock or Bust is out on December 2. And a world tour in support of the album is to follow.

This week, it's not Friday, it's Foo-day.

Triple M premiered the new Foo Fighters song today, called "Something From Nothing" which is the first real taste of the Fooies eighth studio album, Sonic Highways. You can hear snippets of the new song in the video above.

Triple M's Head of Rock, Shaun VanGough said, "I’m as pumped as a dog with 5 tails about this new Fooeys album! I love the idea around pairing a TV rockumentary with its release.

"They’re not the kind of band to leave anything to chance. Everything is planned and executed meticulously with focus & deliberateness.

"They’re always up for challenging how they do things and that’s why in my view they’re the world’s greatest rock band. Sonic Highways will be the next killer chapter in their evolution - that’s why I’m excited!"

Bono Apologises For U2's Album Release Onto iTunes

The U2 frontman has apologised for their Apple launch stunt.

U2 frontman Bono has apologised to iTunes customers who were forced to download their new album Songs of Innocence.

The Irishman seems to have had some regrets after the reception it received. During an interview with fans on the band’s Facebook page, Bono was asked about the album’s release: “Can you please never release an album on iTunes that automatically downloads to people’s playlists ever again? It’s really rude.”

Bono responded, honestly and frankly: "Oops … I’m sorry about that. I had this beautiful idea … might have gotten carried away with ourselves. Artists are prone to that thing.

"A drop of megalomania, a touch of generosity, a dash of self-promotion, and deep fear that these songs that we poured our life into over the last few years might not be heard. There’s a lot of noise out there. I guess, we got a little noisy ourselves to get through it."

Watch the full Q and A below:
