Axl Gets Bottled Off Stage Post by: Dave-O 2 September, 2010 - 12:43 PM

Here's further proof that the Guns N' Roses world tour is turning into an absolute circus, but this time we have to come to Axl's defence.

Following another late start from GN'R (you'd think Axl would've learnt his lesson by now) irate fans in Dublin, Ireland welcomed the band on stage by hurling bottles at them.

Axl then stopped mid-song and simply declared to the crowd: "Here's the deal. One more bottle, we go home. It's up to you. We would like to stay. You want us to stay?"

The Entertainment.ie website reported, "The gig continued for another three songs and as Rose was introducing the band, another missile was thrown at the band. At this, Rose took the band, bid his goodnight and stormed off the stage at about 10:50 p.m."

The website then reported that Axl and the band returned at about 11.25 and "continued playing a set to a small but pretty irate crowd."

Of course, only a few days before UK festival organisers pulled the plug on GN'R's headlining slot at the Leeds and Reading Festival after the band played over curfew.

Okay there's no condoning the throwing of bottles but this is just another Axl meltdown in a long line of Axl meltdowns.

Even in the Gunners' early days he was doing stuff like this.

Axl's a magnet for trouble, that's for sure.

He's a nothing more than a sad cabaret act. Early vintage G&R, great, now this is nothing more than a cash cow. He has zero credibility.

You all have no idea, would you stay if you were getting disrespected in that way. I follow GnR very closely and only half the story ever gets reported by you guys.

I hope the promoters of the telstra 500 have a clause in his contract that if he's late he doesn't get paid!

I just finished reading Steve Adler's autobiography and it reminded me that Axl's been pulling this kind of stuff since the beginning. But I have to admit it's kind of getting old now, isn't it?
