Best Of Foo Fighters Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 31 August, 2009 - 6:58 AM

While Dave Grohl is busy playing European rock festivals with Them Crooked Vultures, the Foo Fighters’ record label have released some details about his other band’s upcoming greatest hits set.

Foo Fighters Greatest Hits will be released in the US on November 3, which means we should see it here in Australia a few days earlier on October 31. It's coming out to coincide with the band's 15th anniversary [how old does that make some of us feel?].

While a full tracklisting is yet to be announced, the record will feature two new songs, including the track “Wheels” [which the band premiered at their White House gig a couple of months back] and another newie called “Word Forward”.

The new tracks were recorded at the band’s own 606 Studio studio and produced by long-time collaborator Butch Vig.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Grohl’s other other band, Nirvana, will see the release of a DVD and CD of their legendary 1992 live performance at Britain’s Reading festival. That’s the famous show where Kurt Cobain came on stage in a wheelchair and hospital gown.

Which will you get first – Fooeys’s greatest hits or Nirvana at Reading?
