You may have noticed that INXS have been doing a bunch of one-off shows around the country this year, including the V8 Supercars in Townsville and a show in Broome.

Well they have now confirmed that they will be joining the A Day On The Green festival as it tours around Australia, including a show on Australia Day next year.

JD Fortune will be singing but in a strange twist posters advertising the show has him billed as a "special guest".

Furthermore, according to the Herald Sun we can also expect guest appearances from singers who have appeared on their upcoming covers album.

While this is a long way from a headline tour it's the best we can get at the moment so we'll take it.

The festival is one of our most popular outdoor events set in the lovely setting of Australia's best wineries. 

Joining INXS on the bill are Train, The Baby Animals and The Models.

  ANY show with JD Fortune as front man is guaranteed to be one hot, amazing show you will never forget!

  JD & INXS rocked Townsville and Broome in 2011 and also brought the crowd of 100,000 plus to their feet at the AFL Finals last year. I have been following JD's career with INXS and his solo career for the past five years and I am so thrilled to see all he has accomplished to date.

  It will be wonderful to see pics and video from the Australian tour, and, of course, I'll be even more happy to see JD & INXS live in Toronto this March!

  I can't wait 2 c INXS @ Hunter Valley! I admire their passion 4 their continuous contribution 2 awesome Aussie rock! They've been knocked down but showed determination 2 get up & keep pushin' the boundaries! On ya fellas!
