I saw Silverchair and Powderfinger in Brisbane... Powderfinger were brilliant. Silverchair were the complete opposite!!

Guns 'n' Roses in 1991 - 90 mins late - played for a hour then buggered off in a helicopter. This was great after waiting 60 hrs at Eastern Creek.....Never listened to them again,

You quite clearly went to a different Silverchair/Powderfinger gig than I did - at the one I went to, people were leaving in hordes as soon as Silverchair finished.
I persevered with Powderfinger on the first night, but couldn't stand to put my ears through that again.
What was with Bernard yelling 'ole'! - Pretty sure we're Australians, not Mexicans!

I've never been a great fan of Nickleback but I've done security for one of their gigs and I doubt that they were being booed for the fact that they were putting on a bad show. Those dudes were tight and put on a top shelf performance.
As for the Powderfinger/Silverchair debate, in the paraphrased words of one of Powderfingers on management personnal "...They're a helluva lot better in the studio than they are live..."
