The Living End shook Sydney to it's foundations over the weekend with shows that confirmed their status as one of Australia's best live bands.
Having kicked off their Australian tour at the Tivoli in Brisbane last Thursday night. The Aussie legends put on two outstanding, and very loud, shows at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, with the intimate setting making for a great atmosphere.
Both nights featured a solid setlist of songs from their new album, The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating mixed with old faves the fans know and love from the band's 17-year history.
Indeed, Living End classics like "Second Solution" and "Prisoner Of Society" went off and brought the crowd together. The highlight was when leader/guitar-slinger Chris Cheney started playing the opening riff to The Angels classic "Take A Long Line" only to break into The Choirboys "Run To Paradise", which led onto a pumping version of "Roll On".
Fans across our Rock News Facebook page loved the concert. "Absolutely outstanding show and the perfect venue for them," said Nicholas Hill. "Boy were they LOUD too. My ears are still ringing nearly 24 hours later."
While Tracey Moyle, who saw them at the band's opening night at the Tivoli in Brisbane exclaimed, "Totally awesome. After 28 years of concert going The Living End are definitely in top 10 favourite [bands to see] live.
