The makers of the American Idiot musical have released a video trailer for their show.

So, this is what punk looks like when it’s turned into a stage musical. A bit unnatural, don’t you think?

The show opened in a tiny theatre – the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California – last month and runs through to November 1.

The musical features all the tracks off Green Day’s 2004 monster album of the same name, along with b-sides, non-album tracks and a couple of choice cuts from 21st Century Breakdown.

  Gawd ... this looks so bizarre ... but I bet actually seeing it, watching it live would be a whole lot better.
