As the dust settles following the cancellation of the Soundwave Revolution festival, the question is what happens next for fans of the heavy rock festival.

Faster Louder have reported that Soundwave organisers are planning mini-festivals around the country of "15 to 17 bands, 2 stages, no clashes." Tickets will be around $97.

While over at the Sludge Factory website, they've listed all the official tweets from Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah. A tweet sent last night said: "Just finished all the various packages and sending to bands for approval. Hopefully will be able to announce all shows in the next 48 hours."

Considering there is no mention of the above on the official Soundwave Revolution website and Soundwave Revolution Facebook page, we ask you just keep your hat on at this stage.

In regards to the ticketing situation with the cancelled Soundwave Revolution festival, AJ said "Despite the advice from legal and ticketing, etc, we’re refunding 100%, including postage, booking fees, credit card charges, etc. As far as I am concerned anything less would be bulls**t, no matter what the fine print says or what is legal."

In further news, the rumour mill on who will be playing at next year's Soundwave 2012 has already begun with CKY, Trivium and Devin Townsend named as being on the bill.

Mini-Revolution dates:
Sydney – Sunday 25th September
Melbourne – Friday 30th September
Adelaide – Sunday 2nd October
Perth – TBA
Brisbane – TBA
